Mantras
to
Live ByDr. Ryan-Jasen Henne

During my time working in Student Affairs, I’ve come up with three ideas that help me make it through my most difficult days or decisions:

  1. Grace of space
  2. No bus diving;
  3. Good people sometimes make poor choices.
Ryan is an educator and devoted to social justice in practice. He has lived and worked all over the world and has always been an advocate at heart, even before he knew what it meant. Ryan has worked with non-profits, for-profits, private industries and many agencies in between. His involvements have led him to a variety of unique and interesting experiences from being a rodeo cowboy to a published poet, and from volunteering with HIV/AIDS counseling to a gameshow contestant. Ryan tries to get the most out of every experience and encourages others to do the same. He received his BS from East Carolina University, MEd from Grand Valley State University, and his PhD from the University of New Orleans. Tweet him at @RyanJasen.
